In India la disabilità è un tema rimosso. La scorciatoia di fronte al prendersi cura di un figlio con queste problematiche è l'abbandono.
CARE TO ACTION collabora con un Centro gestito dalle Suore di S. Ann che si occupa di 30 bambine e ragazze abbandonate con disabilità fisiche o psichiche. Oltre a prendercene cura, d'intesa con le religiose, abbiamo avviato dei training formativi per insegnare alle ragazze una attività che consenta loro una promozione individuale in termini di capacità e autostima.
I corsi sono curati da un'équipe di specialisti che forniscono alle ragazze un supporto psicologico, in termini di formazione e aiuto fisioterapico.
